Životopis (biografie):
Patřil mezi ty herce, kteří se dokázali udržet ve své profesi rovných 62 let. Rexford Ralph Bellamy, americký filmový herec, se narodil do rodiny irských přistěhovalců 17. 6. 1904 v Chicagu, Illinois, a svou hereckou dráhu začal hned po ukončení studia na střední škole v roce 1927, kdy dal dohromady skupinu stejně nadšených amatérských herců, a vydali se na turné po USA. Během roku se stal majitelem celé společnosti, a získal si velmi slušné renomé, takže nebylo překvapením, když byl v roce 1931 poprvé pozván před filmovou kameru.
